Deborah L. Sather

Bruce L. Byerly
Bruce practices both Oregon and Washington law. He served as a Deputy District Attorney from 1972 to 1974 for Multnomah County and as a Senior District Attorney from 1974 to 1976. Krishna Balasubramani
Prior to joining the firm, Krishna was a pro tem Administrative Law Judge for the Workers’ Compensation Board. He also worked for two years at SAFECO Insurance and one year at Stoel Rives, LLP. Brian Perko
Following his 1978 admission to the Oregon State Bar, Brian prosecuted numerous criminal cases as a Deputy District Attorney for Multnomah County through 1980. From 1980 through 1997, he worked as an associate attorney and later as a partner at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt and then Hoffman, Hart & Wagner. Brian’s practice focused on defending insured and self-insured employers in industrial injury and occupational disease cases. From 1998 through 2002, he served as corporate counsel for the region’s largest automobile retailer, resolving employment, consumer protection and business practice issues. Brian joined Sather, Byerly and Holloway in 2002, and became a partner in 2006. Aaron Bass
Aaron was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2006 and the Washington State Bar in 2007. He represents Oregon employers and insurers in workers' compensation, OSHA and related employment matters. [More about Aaron Bass].
Norman Cole
Norm was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1974. He was a Deputy District Attorney and then Chief Deputy District Attorney for Clatsop County before joining SAIF Corporation in 1979 as a Trial Counsel and Special Assistant Attorney General. In 1983, Norm also began defending claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. He later became SAIF's legal division pulmonary and asbestos disease claim specialist. Norm joined Sather Byerly & Holloway in 2005, where he continues to defend claims under the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Act and the Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. Lance M. Johnson
Lance was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2001 and the Washington State Bar in 2006. Since 2001, he has represented employers in matters associated with workers’ compensation. Ronald Pomeroy
Ron was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1973. He operated a general
law practice in Gresham and Sandy through 1979. He then moved his firm to
Bend, where his practice emphasized trials, wills and estate planning,
business matters and criminal law through 1982. He later became Chief
Prosecutor for the Attorney Generals office for the Territory of Guam. After
returning to Oregon in 1984, Ron was appointed Chief Deputy District
Attorney for Lincoln County. He then began his workers’ compensation
practice as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Oregon assigned
to SAIF Corporation as lead attorney in its Medford office. In 1998, Ron
became trial counsel for a workers’ compensation defense firm in Beaverton.
He joined Sather, Byerly & Holloway in 2001. Ron focuses on defending
insured and self-insured employers in workers’ compensation and employment
related matters.

Jennifer Roumell
Prior to joining Sather, Byerly and Holloway in 2000, Jennifer worked at Liberty Northwest Insurance and as an associate with Mitchell, Lang & Smith. Stephen Verotsky
